Each year, about forty candidates are selected based on their motivation to form the multidisciplinary group of students.

  • May: examination of applications and selection of candidates
  • End of May - Beginning of June: announcement of results
  • June: administrative registration by email

Who can apply for the programme?

The CitizenCampus programme is open to all students regardless of their fields of study, French or international, from second-year undergraduates to PhD. Please, take note taht the course is in French language only.

Since the objective is not to become a scientific expert, no prerequisites are needed. Students in the humanities and the social sciences are therefore just as welcome as those in science and technology. No experience in civic engagement or activism is required.

Only your curiosity, open-mindedness and motivation will matter!

Programme Schedule

The programme is divided into 7 sessions: The opening session will last 3 days during the last week of August. The other 5 two-day sessions will take place over the academic year. These sessions will be on Fridays and Saturdays, outside exam periods and holidays. The closing session is Thursday, April 9. A CitizenCampus Live session will also take place at midterm, during which students will give a presentation at a local public event.

Integration Session: Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28, Thursday 29 August OR Wednesday 28, Thursday 29, Friday 30 August
Session 2: Friday 4 and Saturday 5 October
Session 3: Friday 29 and Saturday 30 November
Session 4: Friday 24 and Saturday 25 January
Session 5: Friday 6 and Saturday 7 March
Session 6: Friday 3 and Saturday 4 April
Closing session : Thursday 9 April
Live Session: participation in a local event, at midterm

Conditions for Participation

Students shall attend every session of the programme, including the Live Session. They agree to participate in group sessions, which require among other things preparatory work for each session and posters to be made at midterm.

At the end of the programme, an official certificate will be delivered to each student. ECTS credits can also be awarded depending on the student’s university. PhD students can ask for credits for their enrolment in the programme.
